> CleanVideoText is an AI video text remover for burned-in (hardcoded) subtitles, captions, handles, timestamps, and other text rendered into video frames. It rebuilds the background behind the text instead of cropping or blurring, and exports an MP4 that keeps the original audio, duration, and frame size.

## Core job
- Remove hardcoded subtitles and captions from footage you own or are licensed to edit.
- Remove marked text, handles, sticker text, timestamps, and similar overlays.
- Keep the original audio, duration, and frame size; no crop, blur bar, or mosaic.
- Best for ad localization, actor/client reels with no source project, course and webinar reuse, and reposting your own TikTok/Reels clips.

## Inputs, outputs, and limits
- Input: MP4 or MOV, up to 200 MB and 10 minutes.
- Output: MP4 with the original audio, duration, and frame size, at the source resolution.
- Live jobs process the whole uploaded clip. Sub-range processing is not available yet; trim a test clip or the final segment before uploading.
- Live jobs run while the tab stays open. There is no email notification or background queue yet.
- Fast motion, text over faces or fine detail, heavy compression, and busy backgrounds can leave artifacts. Test the hardest five seconds first.

## Modes
- **Auto**: detects text anywhere in the frame.
- **Subtitles**: follows the lower caption band.
- **Select area**: erases everything inside the boxes you draw; best for moving text, handles, and stickers.
- **All text**: scans the whole frame for text-like regions.

## Not a fit
- Soft subtitle tracks: remove them with a remux in FFmpeg, HandBrake, or an editor; no AI is needed.
- Third-party watermark, credit, or attribution removal: not supported.
- Footage you do not own or have permission to edit: not allowed.
- Full localization workflow: the tool removes text but does not translate, dub, or generate captions.
- Batch uploads, sub-range rendering, and email delivery: not available yet.

## Privacy and rights
- The sample demo runs in the browser and does not upload the file.
- Live jobs send the clip to the configured processing provider only to run the requested job. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion.

## Current status
Live. Google sign-in, credit balances, checkout, and account history are available. The sample demo still runs in the browser without an account.
