How your video is handled
The sample demo runs in your browser and does not upload your file. Live jobs are sent to the processing provider only to run the requested job. The retention schedule below applies to every live job.
The short version
Your video is used to run the job you asked for. We do not train models on your footage, and we do not sell it. Original uploads are deleted within 24 hours; finished results are deleted within 7 days. Closing your account removes the account record and any remaining job data.

What we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, avatar, and the Google account identifier you sign in with. If you use email sign-in, we store a hashed password.
- Job data: file name, format, size, clip length, the removal mode, and the mask coordinates you draw.
- Credit and billing data: credit balance, plan, purchase history, and the identifiers returned by our payment provider. We never receive full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and error logs used to keep the service working.
- Support messages: the content of messages you send to us and any file you choose to attach.
How uploads are handled
A video you upload is stored in a private object store and processed by a worker that reads the uploaded clip. Access is limited to the service and the people who operate it for support and abuse review.
Original files are deleted within 24 hours. A clean result is kept for 7 days so you can download it again, then deleted. If you delete a job earlier from your account, the related objects are removed in the same request.
Mask coordinates are stored with the job so the worker can run and so a failed job can be retried. They are never sent to analytics or advertising tools.

How we use data
We do not use your footage, masks, file names, or transcript-like content to train models. We do not sell personal data. We do not share job data with advertisers.
- To run the removal job and deliver the finished file
- To charge the correct number of credits and keep a billing history
- To detect abuse, such as attempts to process third-party watermarked footage
- To fix errors, measure queue health, and improve the interface
- To answer support requests and send essential service messages
Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run the product. Each one receives only what it needs for its task, under a data processing agreement where required.
- Cloudflare D1 — account records, credit ledger, and job history
- Cloudflare Workers — application hosting and request logs
- WaveSpeed — upload storage and the model that renders the cleaned video
- Waffo — checkout, payments, and subscription management
- Google — sign-in, only when you choose “Sign in with Google”
Payments
Checkout is handled by Waffo. Payment methods and currencies are shown by the checkout provider based on your country. CleanVideoText receives a transaction identifier, the amount, the currency, and the status — not your full card details.
Invoices and receipts are generated by the payment provider and sent to the email on your account.
Retention
- Originals: deleted within 24 hours of upload
- Results: deleted within 7 days of creation
- Job metadata: kept for up to 90 days for billing, fraud prevention, and debugging, then removed or aggregated
- Account record: kept until you delete the account
- Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting rules require
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, and to object to some processing. You can delete jobs from your account and delete the account itself. For requests that need our help, contact us from the email on the account.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Uploads and results are stored in private buckets and reached through short-lived signed URLs. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is limited and logged. No service can promise perfect security, so keep a local copy of any file you cannot afford to lose.
Children
CleanVideoText is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard. The same retention rules apply wherever the data is processed.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the product or the law changes. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email before they take effect. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
