Accounts and billing
The account and billing terms below apply to every account, every purchase, and every job.
1. The agreement
CleanVideoText provides a web tool that removes burned-in text from video by rebuilding the area behind it. These terms form a contract between you and CleanVideoText. Our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy are part of the agreement.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to create an account.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
- One person or organization per account. Do not share credentials or resell access without a written agreement.
- Information you provide must be accurate. We may suspend accounts that use false details to evade limits.
3. Credits and billing
One credit covers one second of video in the uploaded clip. The clip is processed as a whole. The credit total is shown before a job starts. A failed render does not use credits. We do not silently retry with a more expensive route; if a different route would cost more, we ask first.
Free monthly seconds reset each month and do not roll over. Credits from a one-time pack do not expire. Subscription credits stay available while the plan is active. Prices, plan limits, and included features are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice.
Payments are processed by Waffo. Taxes and currency conversion are added at checkout. Subscription renewals are charged until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal and the plan remains active until the end of the paid period.

4. Refunds and cancellations
A failed render never uses credits, so a failed job does not create a charge to refund. If credits were deducted before a job failed, we return them to your balance.
Starter is a one-time purchase of 600 credits for USD 19. It is refundable within 14 days of purchase while unused. Once any credit from the pack has been used, the pack is no longer refundable, except where the law requires it.
Creator is a USD 49 monthly subscription. You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. A partly used billing period is not refunded pro rata.
To request a refund, email billing@cleanvideotext.com from the address on the account, within the window above, with the order or receipt number. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Waffo, normally within 10 business days. Duplicate or incorrect charges are refunded in full.
Nothing in this section limits a statutory right you have as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal that applies where you live.

5. Processing and delivery
Processing time depends on duration, resolution, and queue load. These estimates are not guarantees. Keep the page open while a live job runs; there is no email notification or background queue yet.
The export is designed to keep the original audio and frame size and to re-encode an MP4. Variable-frame-rate sources, unusual codecs, or damaged files may produce a different result. Review every output before publishing.
6. Your content and rights
You keep ownership of the videos you upload and the results you generate. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit the file only to run the job, deliver the result, and investigate abuse. That licence ends when the file is deleted under our retention rules.
You must have the rights needed to edit the footage. That includes the copyright in the video, permission from people who appear in it, and any licence required for the music, logos, or clips it contains. You are responsible for how you use the output.
7. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy lists prohibited uses in detail. In short: do not use CleanVideoText to remove a third-party watermark in order to redistribute someone else’s work, to deceive people about the source of a video, to harass, or to break the law.
We may refuse, pause, or delete a job and suspend an account when we have a reasonable belief that a use is prohibited. Credits tied to a refused job are handled case by case.
8. Our intellectual property
The CleanVideoText name, logo, interface, and underlying software belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not grant you a right to copy, resell, or reverse engineer the service, except as allowed by law.
9. Output quality and disclaimers
Background rebuilding is an estimate. Text over faces, hands, fine patterns, or heavy compression may leave artefacts or alter detail. The comparison pages describe the workflow, not a measured success rate. We do not guarantee that a result will be broadcast-ready or indistinguishable from clean footage.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CleanVideoText is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, footage, or reputation. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud, or a prohibited use. Where practical, we will explain the reason and allow you to export account data.
Unused paid credits are not refunded when an account is terminated for a prohibited use. Where termination is not caused by your breach, unused pack credits may be refunded on request.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where CleanVideoText is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting a formal claim, contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. Nothing here prevents you from using a mandatory consumer protection route in your country.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be announced before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.
